"Chasing Spots"

Age long adversaries with a vastly different outlook on life, these 4 adult male painted dogs, the protectors of the pack, took exception to this spotted scavenger sniffing around.

Realising he was outnumbered the spotted hyena took a gap into the Kruger bush with his tail between his legs.

We really have been treated to some incredible sightings recently of one of Africa's most endangered predators. At least the Kruger area is still a stronghold for these unique painted dogs.
