We were so spoiled to see this stunning new young female leopard.
We found her early one morning just before sunrise after seeing a huge amount of leopard spoor around the camps and hearing both males and females calling. On the morning of the 27th May around 6am we finally managed to track down this young female close to the second camp south of the Bosobogolo pan.
Matthew Schurch confirmed that she is a new leopard for the Kgalagadi Leopard Project and will be known as L-82 until she is seen more often and given a name.
It is great to be able to contribute to the project http://www.ast.uct.ac.za/~schurch/leopards/ , keep up the brilliant work, Matthew.
