Lioness with a hatred of Vultures

A very cool sighting from our recent September Kruger Park Photo Safari.

This lioness clearly disliked vultures immensely and we watched her charge in a few times as the scavengers were trying to sneak in on this pride’s buffalo carcass.

Sometimes things happen so fast in the bush and we miss the details…after analysing the video we realised that she actually caught one slow unlucky vulture during this particualr charge! Unfortunately the long grass hid most of the action but still very interesting behaviour to watch.

One less scavenger for her to worry about…
